JoÃo Bosco Medeiros was born in 1946 in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. He grew up in a musical environment, influenced by his father, who played guitar and harmonica, and by various genres of Brazilian music, such as samba, bossa nova, folk and regional.
